FantasySportsBaseball.com is a web site where you can compete, head-to-head, with other teams in an effort to win the FSB World Series and earn cash prizes. Each week, your team will be matched up against other fantasy teams vying for the same goal - the FSB World Series title!
League Structure - There are three League types for you to choose from, an "A" league, a "B" League, and a "C" League. Each League is comprised of 8 Conferences and each Conference contains 20 teams for a total of 160 teams in each league. Each Conference is divided into 4 Divisions (North, East, South, and West) with 5 teams in each Division.
Prizes and Prices - Each league type (A, B, and C) have prizes that are proportional to their league fee. All league fees are a one-time charge paid during sign-up and all roster changes (or trades) that are made throughout the entire season are free of charge. The "A" league fee is $100 per team with a $1000 Grand Prize, the "B" league fee is $50 with a $500 Grand Prize, and the "C" league fee is $10 with a Grand Prize of $100. Each league also has many other cash prizes. One in five teams that reach the playoffs will win a cash prize that is greater than their league fee. View the Prizes and Prices page for complete details.
Regular Season - All Regular Season games are played within your 20 team conference with 10 teams in each conference moving on to the Wild Card Playoffs at the end of the Regular Season. The Regular Season lasts for 22 weeks with one week off during the MLB All-Star break. You'll play each team in your division 18 times and each team in the other divisions 6 times for a total of 162 games during the Regular Season. The top 2 teams within each Division, based on Won/Lost record, and the next 2 best teams (wild card teams) will move on to the Wild Card Playoffs and compete for prizes.
Wild Card Playoffs - A total of 80 teams per league (half the teams in the league) will compete in the Wild Card Playoffs that will last for 3 weeks. Typically, this is the first week in September. Each team in the Wild Card Playoffs will begin with 25% of their points earned in the Regular Season. The top 8 teams from the Wild Card Playoffs (based on 25% of their Regular Season points + their Wild Card Playoffs points) will advance to the World Series Playoffs.
World Series Playoffs - A total of 8 teams per league will compete for 3 weeks in the World Series Playoffs. This final round will begin in the first week of October and will coincide with the MLB Championship and World Series games. After the first week of the World Series Playoffs, the top 4 teams (based on their 1st week World Series points + their Wild Card Playoffs points + 25% of their Regular Season points) will move on to the 2nd week of the World Series Playoffs. After the second week the top 2 teams (based on their 2 weeks of World Series points + their Wild Card Playoffs points + 25% of their Regular Season points) will move on to the 3rd and final week of the World Series Playoffs to compete for the FSB World Series Title! This final week (Week 29) will last until the final game of the MLB World Series is completed. The winner of the FSB World series (based on their 3 weeks of World Series points + their Wild Card Playoffs points + 25% of their Regular Season points) will win the league Grand Prize.
Creating Your Team - All changes to your roster are free and can be made each week from Wednesday 2:00AM CT through Sunday 11:59PM CT. During the Regular Season and Wild Card Playoffs, each fantasy team will draft a 25 player roster within a $50 million team salary cap. Each fantasy team will consist of 5 starting pitchers, 4 relief pitchers, 2 first basemen, 2 second basemen, 2 shortstops, 2 third basemen, 2 catchers, 5 outfielders, and 1 designated hitter. If your team reaches the World Series Playoff round, you will select a 14 player roster with no team salary cap. A World Series Playoff team will consist of 3 starting pitchers, 2 relief pitchers, 1 first baseman, 1 second baseman, 1 shortstop, 1 third baseman, 1 catcher, 3 outfielders, and 1 designated hitter.
Player Points - Fantasy League teams earn points based on the real life performance of the MLB players they selected for their fantasy team roster. The weekly total of your player's points will determine your teams win/lost record for the week during the Regular Season. View the Player Points page for details on how your players earn their weekly points.
Team Record - During the 162 game Regular Season schedule, your team's won/lost record will decide if your team moves on to the Wild Card Playoffs. Your team wins and losses will be determined by its total weekly points when compared to the total weekly points of your opponents. For each weekly opponent that you outscore, your team receives a win. For each weekly opponent that outscores your team, your team receives a loss. (Tiebreakers: 1st tiebreaker, the team with the most weekly points for all hitters; 2nd tiebreaker, the team with the most weekly points for relief pitchers.)
